A reflective hour for people carrying high emotional load

One hour a month. One situation. No fixing. Most conversations about pressure at work are conversations about what to do next. This one isn't.

What happens in the hour

Sixty minutes, online, once a month. I read out a situation - composite, invented, uncomfortably familiar and we sit with it together. No advice, no action points, no going round the room. You speak if you want to.

In the last ten minutes I name what was actually happening underneath, using one stage of the S.E.N.S.E.™ framework. That's the whole thing.

Who comes

  • SENCOs, pastoral and safeguarding leads
  • Teachers and school support staff
  • HR, People and EDI teams
  • Managers and team leaders
  • Parents and carers

What this isn't

  • Not training, not CPD-accredited
  • Not supervision or therapy
  • Not advice on your own situation
  • Not recorded

You don't have to speak. Plenty of people come and never say anything, and that's a legitimate way to use the hour.

Want this for your own team?

The Open Round is the open version — strangers, invented situations, no follow-through. The same reflective format runs as SENSE Rounds with an intact team, every six weeks, on their own pressures, tracked over time.
