Support for parents when school anxiety, meltdowns and hard mornings keep happening
You are not failing. You are firefighting without a map. If your child struggles to get into school, melts down after school or shuts down at bedtime, we help you find the pattern and build calmer, more predictable routines around it.
Does one of these sound like your home?
Before school
Tension builds before the uniform is even on, and every morning feels like a battle.
After school
They seemed fine all day, then fall apart the moment they get home.
Bedtime
The battle starts before pyjamas are even mentioned.
Screens off
Turning off a device leads to the same meltdown, every time.
You are not failing and your child is not broken. A moment that repeats may be telling you something, and that is where we start.
From firefighting to a plan
Spot the pattern
Notice the day, the moment and what came just before it.
Change the response
Use calm words and steps that lower the pressure instead of adding to it.
Build the routine
Make the hard moment more predictable, working with your child's school where it helps.
You were never meant to carry the hard moments alone

Questions from parents
How do I help my child with school anxiety or school refusal?
Start by finding the pattern: the day, the moment and what came before it. School avoidance is usually a sign of overload, not defiance. We help you build a calm, predictable routine around it, working with your child's school.
Is this therapy?
No. It is non-clinical coaching and practical support. It works alongside CAMHS, your GP or an EHCP, never instead of them.
Do you work with autistic and ADHD children?
Yes. Everything we do is neurodivergence-aware, and Naomi is a parent of autistic and ADHD children herself.
Do I need to be near Mansfield?
No. Parent support and SENSE™ Friends are online and open to families across the UK.
How much does it cost?
The de-escalation scripts are free. SENSE™ Friends is £9 a month for founding members. Masterclass prices are shown when you book, and 1:1 coaching starts at £157.
Naomi Withers, founder
I'm a mum of five, including children who are autistic or have ADHD, so I know the hard mornings from the inside. I also hold a BPS-accredited qualification in psychology and a CIPD Level 7 qualification, with more than 25 years working with families, schools and organisations.
